Professional Experience
David is a research practitioner/manager. In addition to his role as Managing Director of Phoenix Research, David's responsibilities are essentially the design of market and social research studies and surveys, and consultation with clients on the application of research findings.
David holds degrees of BSc in mathematics and statistics, and BA (Hons) in psychology, both from Otago University. He is a Fellow of the New Zealand Market Research Society, a life member of the New Zealand Psychological Society and a member of the New Zealand Statistical Association. He has been chairman of AMRO (Association of Market Research Organisations) 2006 to 2008, and prior to that, chaired the IQS Council (Interviewing Quality Standards) for eight years.
David has conducted many research studies for various parties in legal proceedings. In the words of one consultant he has worked with for a number of years, in this harsh and testing environment, "PHOENIX has never been found wanting".
Previously, David was a Director and General Manager of the Heylen Research Centre.
